Deacon Alexander Brewer Waters, 90, of 3384 LD Hardy Lane, LaGrange, died Friday at the Signature Healthcare of Kinston.
He was born January 31, 1926 in Durham County to John and Dora Waters. He was married to the late Hoppie Waters.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1 PM at the Greater St. John FWB Church with the Elder Charlie Howell officiating. Burial will follow in the Faireview Cemetery, LaGrange.
He is survived by his loving children Eldress Carol Barden, Deacon Leroy Lewis,Thomas Miles, Bertha King, Elder Dexter Waters, Derrick Waters, Ida Gooding, Max Whitfield, Iris W. Jackson, Deacon Desmond Whitfield, Alfred Pearsall, Dallas Pearsall, Barbara Raspberry, Phillis Pearsall, Deacon Roberson Williams; A host of other loving relatives and friends.
Visitation Tuesday from 1:30 until 3:30 PM at the Haskins Funeral Home and from 5 PM until 7 PM at the Taylors Chapel FWB Church in LaGrange. The family will receive friends at the church Tuesday from 6 PM until 7 PM. At other times, the family will receive friends at the residence where they will assemble in preparation for the funeral procession.
