Nellie Hester Langston, 79, passed away Thursday, September 29, 2016 at her home surrounded by her family.
Nellie was born in Davie County, NC on August 12, 1937 to the late J. C. Hester and Maggie Holder Hester. She was married to the late Clinton Langston. Nellie was a homemaker and loved her family. She was a member of Pentecostal Christian Assemblies.
The family will receive friends Saturday, October 1, 2016 from 1:00 – 2:00 PM at Seymour Funeral Home followed by a service at 2:00 PM in the chapel. Rev. Sherwood Howell will officiate. Interment will follow at Wayne Memorial Park.
Nellie is survived by her daughter, Subrina L. Church and husband Garrett of Fremont; son, Tim Langston and wife Wanda of Fremont; sisters, Collen Binkley of Mocksville and Mae Smith of Smithfield. She is also survived by two grandchildren, Rebecca Church and Maggie Cockrell and husband Kevin.
In addition to her husband, Nellie was preceded in death by her sister Mattie Reynolds and her aunt, Helen Whitlock Hester.
