Oliver John Pitts, 57, passed away on Sunday at his home.
Oliver was born in Lubbock County, Texas on October 7, 1961 to the late Richard Delmar Pitts and Lurah Ferrell Pitts. He was a valued employee of Franklin Baking Company in Goldsboro and was looking forward to his retirement. Oliver had a great love for the Dallas Cowboys as well as Duke Basketball.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 3, 2019 from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at Seymour Funeral Home followed by a service to celebrate his life at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel with Timmy McCammon officiating. Interment will be in Wayne Memorial Park.
Oliver is survived by his twin brother, Jerry Pitts; sisters, Ottie Mae Mendez and husband Eddie, Judy Hill, Lola McCammon and Ethel Foss; nieces, Jennifer, April, Amy, Lisa, Amber, Melissa, Tracy and Melanie; nephews, Timmy and Matt; special great-niece and nephew, Nicole and Connor; and special aunt and uncle, Susie and Jack Stenfors of Kansas.
