September 30, 75, Mount Olive
Katherine “Kathie” Hill Raynor, 75, resident of Mount Olive, passed away Monday morning, Sept. 30 2019 while at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
Her life will be remembered in a service to be held Wednesday, October 2, at 7 p..m. at Tyndall Funeral Home in Mount Olive, officiated by the Rev Kelley Buffaloe, with visitation to follow. Burial will be Thursday, October 3, at 10 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park. Friends and family are also being received at the home of Gwen and Ronnie Anderson near Rosewood. Floral offerings are welcome, and so would be memorial gifts to Antioch Presbyterian Church, 2306 Old Smithfield Road, Goldsboro NC 27530, or Kitty Askins Hospice, 107 Handley Park Court, Goldsboro, NC 27534.
Mrs. Raynor was a retired sales consultant with J. C. Penney’s, having concentrated in the cosmetics section and ladies apparel. She was a member of Antioch Presbyterian Church. She was a native of the Rosewood community near Goldsboro, daughter of the late Edmond Ham Hill and Cassie Woodard Hill, and widow of William M.”Bill” Raynor.
Survivors include her sisters, brothers, and their spouses, Shirley H. Martin, H. J. and Annette Hill, Gwen H. and Ronnie Anderson, and Keith and Connie Hill, all of the Rosewood community; a sister-in-law, Ila Hill, of Rosewood, widow of deceased brother, William Ray Hill; a step-son, Mark Raynor and his family of Mount Olive; and her beloved next-door neighbor, Thelma Reaves of Mount Olive.
