August 17,Joyce Hope

Joyce Martin Hope, 74, of Goldsboro, was called home on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 to the loving arms of Jesus Christ her Lord.

Joyce was born in Wayne County on September 21, 1941 to the late John Martin and Mildred Pendergraph.  She was married to the late Franklin Hope.  Joyce retired from R.G. Barry Company in Goldsboro.

Joyce was a caring and loving mom and grandmother.  The faithful life she lived, one of grace and Christian love, could not be diminished by the declining health that she endured.

A service celebrating the life of Joyce will be held by the graveside on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Ricky Ham officiating.  The family will greet friends immediately following the service at the cemetery and other times at the home of Danny and Trudy Hope, 302 Shamrock Road, Goldsboro.

Joyce is survived by her daughter, Brenda McGee of Fremont; sons, Danny Hope and wife Trudy of Goldsboro, Ricky Hope and wife Janet of Goldsboro, Frankie Hope, Jr. of Youngsville, and Quinton Hope of Goldsboro; and sister, Shirley Hope of Goldsboro.  She is also survived by her grandchildren, Bryan Jones, Tyler McGee, Amy Howell, Allen Hope, Austin Hope, Jordan Hope, and Joshua Hope; and great-grandchildren, Bladen Jones, Brantley Jones, and Alyssa Lawhorn.

Joyce’s family would like to thank Jennifer Kilpatrick and the staff of Love and Faith Caregivers, particularly Napthali Hooker, who cared for her daily.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Kenneth Copeland Ministries, P.O. Box 961010, Fort Worth, TX 76161-9984.
