Ricky Evans Rushton, 59, passed away on Thursday, August 18, 2016 at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Ricky was born in Wayne County on March 12, 1957 to Turner McLean Rushton of Goldsboro and the late Henry Curtis Rushton, Jr. He proudly served our country in the United States Air Force. He was a graduate of Durham Technical Community College and had worked as a dental lab technician with New Life Dental Studio. Ricky always enjoyed woodworking and playing chess.
Graveside services will be held at the Eastern Carolina State Veteran’s Cemetery on Monday, August 22, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Bobby Heath officiating and with military honors. The family will greet friends Monday following the service at the cemetery.
In addition to his mother, Ricky is survived by his son, Jesse Rushton of Calabash; daughter, Kalie Rushton of Spokane, Washington; and three grandchildren.
