Margaret Christine Price Malpass, 90, went to her heavenly home Monday, September 25, 2017 at Kitty Askins surrounded by her family.
Homegoing services will be held Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at 11 a.m. from the chapel of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory. Interment will follow at Wayne Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service Wednesday beginning at 10 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. at the funeral home and other times at the home of her grandson, Chris Malpass and wife, Linda, 835 Hwy 111 South in Goldsboro.
Mrs. Malpass was born in Lenoir County on September 04, 1927 to the late Zeb and Amanda Jones Price. She was a dedicated member of Trinity Baptist Church. Mrs. Malpass retired from DuPont after 30 years of service and later worked as a Walmart door greeter for 6 years. Mrs. Malpass was a proud cancer survivor.
She is survived by her loving children, Chris Malpass (Andrea) of Goldsboro and Vickie Jenkins (Richard) of South Carolina; her sister, Hazel Herring of Wilmington; two grandchildren, Christopher Malpass (Linda) and Taylor Malpass (Whitney); four step-grandchildren; one great-grandchild, Barrett Lee Malpass and three step-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Malpass and her sister, Fannie Price.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the American Cancer Society and to Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
