Linda Faye King Mitchell

Linda Faye King Mitchell, 73, of Old Smithfield Rd, Princeton, passed away Sunday morning, August 6, 2017 surrounded by her family. She was born November 30, 1943 in Durham county and was the daughter of the late Thomas Woodrow Wilson and Bessie Irene Braswell King. She is preceded in death by a brother, Ted King and sister Bonnie Hooks. Linda was a member of the Belfast Pentecostal Holiness Church.

The Funeral Service will be conducted at 6:00 pm Tuesday, August 8th at the Casey Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Joseph Tew and Reverend Harry L Smith, Sr. will be officiating. The Committal Service will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday, August 9th at Princeton Cemetery.

The family will be receiving friends from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm Tuesday evening, August 8th, prior to the funeral service at Casey Funeral Home.

Mrs. Mitchell held a special place in her heart for her church, Belfast Penticostal Holiness Church, where she served in different capacities, including the choir until the condition of her health prevented her from participating.

One of the most special things in her life was her grandchildren. She was so proud of them and loved them immensely with all her heart.

She is survived by her husband; Lonnie “Buck” Melton Mitchell, sons; Tony “Juice” Mitchell and wife Amy of Princeton, Lee “Stem” Mitchell and wife Jan of Pikeville, brother; Thomas King of Selma, sisters; Sylvia Rose of Smithfield, Margie Wall of Selma, grandchildren; Joseph Mitchell and wife Taylor, Cody Mitchell and Rachael Mitchell
