Fred Lee McKee II, 66, passed away Monday at the Brian Center. He was the son of Thelma Noel McKee and the late Fred Lee McKee, and was married to Kim McKee. He was a member of Freedom Baptist Church and a United States Navy Veteran. Fred loved the Lord, his family, and life. He had a great sense of humor, and could always fit in wherever he was.
A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday at Freedom Baptist Church at 4:00 with Rev. Jonathon Smith, Rev. David Jackson, and Rev. Ray Deck officiating. The family will receive friends for an hour prior to the service. Committal services will be held at a later date at the Eastern Carolina Veterans Cemetery.
In addition to his wife, Fred is survived by his sons, Trae McKee and wife, Sheri of Dudley and Scott McKee and wife, Nicole of Bowie, MD; sisters, Sharon Lawton of Bowie, MD and Kathy Anderson and husband, Peter of Forrest Hills, MD; grandsons, Brayden, Tyler, and Mason McKee; nephews, Sean and Chris Lawton; and a niece, Melissa Wilbert.
A nephew, Eric Anderson preceded him in death.
