April 29, 68, La Grange 
Surrounded by his loving family, Thomas Wayne Hamilton, 68, of La Grange, peacefully passed away on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at his home. Thomas was born February 17, 1949 in Bladen County to the late Doniver Hamilton and Gladys Marlowe Hamilton. Thomas was a man who believed in a hard days work and giving his best effort. He worked his way up the ranks with Murphy Farms where he retired following twenty years as a service manager. Thomas loved to be outside working with his hands. He enjoyed construction projects and woodworking. Thomas had a deep passion for the outdoors, animals, gardening and fishing. He was most happy when piddling in the garden or fishing. Nothing was more pleasing than the tug of a fish on the line, no matter the size. One who never looked for recognition or attention, Thomas was always quietly willing to step in with a helping hand for those in need. Always generous with his time and love, Thomas treated all children as if they were his. His memories shine bright in our hearts.
A time of visitation and fellowship to celebrate and honor the life of Thomas W. Hamilton will be held Monday, May 1, 2017 from 6-8 p.m. at Rouse Funeral Home, La Grange.
Thomas is survived by his wife of forty three years, Fostine McLamb Hamilton; three sons, Ricky Davis, Thomas Wayne Hamilton, Jr. and his wife, Stacy, and B.J. Hamilton and his wife, Tara; four grandchildren, Brandon, Nicholas, Paisley and Charlie Grace; and five siblings, Donna Canady, Florence “Coot” Gore, Kenneth Hamilton, Robert Hamilton and Maurice Hamilton. In addition to his parents, Thomas was preceded in death by a sister, Carolyn Hester; and two brothers, Bobby Lee Hamilton and Justin Hamilton.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hamilton family to assist with final expenses.
