Melinda Lee Willis Lane, age 60, passed away early Tuesday morning at her residence. Born in Middlesboro, KY, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Mary Ann Lamb Willis and wife of the late Timothy Alton Lane. Melinda was a nurse for 42 years with most of her career spent at Genesis Healthcare in Mt. Olive and was a former member of the Mt. Olive Rescue. Melinda was known as a good Christian woman who loved her children, grandchildren and other family and friends.
A private memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home.
Melinda is survived by her daughters, Nikki Hines and husband, Wilson Hines, Tiffany Lane Williams and husband, Lyle M. Williams; her grandchildren, Anna Lee Hines, Emma Reagan Hines and Gabriel Alton; her sisters, Cindy Neff, Kim Willis, Pam Goforth, Tammy Strickland, Cristy Goodwin and husband, Jonathan Goodwin; her nieces and nephews, Chris Neff, Ashley Stanley, Brian Neff, Tracy Neff, Alton Strickland and Ethan Goodwin and her second mama, Janice Lane.
