Alma Hall Daniels, age 89, died Sunday morning at Kitty Askins Hospice Center. Born in Wayne County she was the daughter of the late Charlie and Smitha Pollard Hall and was the wife of the late Marvin Daniels. She was preceded in death by a son Bennie Daniels and a son-in-law Jesse Lane.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday evening at 6:00 P.M. in the chapel of Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home with Rev. Daniel Pate officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home and at other times at the home of Alice Lane. Burial will be held on Wednesday morning at 10:00 a.m. in Wayne Memorial Park.
She is survived by four daughters; Jean Bass and husband JE of LaGrange, Alice Lane of Goldsboro, LaVerne Layton and husband Paul of Goldsboro, and Marlene Hughes and husband Bo of Goldsboro. In addition to her daughters and sons-in-law she is survived by nine grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
