Carol G. Strickland

Carol G. Strickland, age 76, of Goldsboro, went peacefully to heaven on Christmas evening. Born in Wayne Co., she was the daughter of the late Chester A. and Ethelene Cotton Strickland. She was a member of Eureka Christian Church. Carol loved everyone and everyone loved her. She will be truly missed by her family but she has gone where the people that loved her most are….HEAVEN.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday at 11:00 am at Eureka Christian Church with Rev. Frank Purvis officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  A visitation will be held for family and friends from 10:00 am to 11:00 am also at the church. At other times, the family will be at the home of Bobby Joe and Julie C. Whitfield, 760 Corbett Hill Road, Mt. Olive, NC.

Carol is survived by her Aunt, Nannie Cotton Mills and husband, Roy;  Cousins, Deane & Richard Best, Melinda Carlton, Lori & Donald Ray Fields, Julie & Bobby Joe Whitfield, McCkines & Tammy Britt, Scott Britt and Mack Britt.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by Uncles, Deloit Cotton and Monk Cotton; Aunts, Thelma Britt and Melba Jackson; Cousin, Ricky Jackson

Flowers are welcome and memorial contributions may be directed to the O’Berry Center Foundation, P.O. Box 1157, Goldsboro, NC  27533.

Carol’s family would like to thank the staff of Goldsboro Assisted Living, Willow Creek and O’Berry Center for their LOVE for Carol.  Also a special thanks to Ronnie & Vicky Jordan for all your many visits and time spent helping love Carol.
