Jimmy Paul Adams, 74, passed away Tuesday, December 24, 2019 at Vidant Medical Center. Born in Johnston County, NC on May 16, 1945 he was the son of the late Junius Franklin Adams and Flonnie Barnes Adams. He was married to the late Tracey Lee Davidson Adams. Jimmy was retired from Butterball. He proudly served his country in the United States Army.

The family will receive friends Sunday, December 29, 2019 from 5:00 – 6:00 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home followed by a service to celebrate Jimmy’s life in the chapel at 6:00 p.m. with Pastor Jeff Toler officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date at the Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery.

Jimmy is survived by his special friend and caregiver, Samantha Davis and husband Rodney and her son, Rusty; granddaughter, Brianna Baker and husband Brett of Fremont; sister, Janice Raynor and husband Richard of Wilson Mills; brother, Jerry W. Adams of Smithfield; step-daughter, Ronni Davidson of Louisiana; aunt, Ola Jean Wilkins of Smithfield; uncle, Henry Barnes of High Point; daughter, Amanda Adams of Kenly; son, Jimmy Adams Jr. of Thomasville; daughter, Cindy of Thomasville; and numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be given in his memory to any Veteran’s organization that benefits suicide prevention.
