Willie Lester Shaw, Jr., age 78, passed away Wednesday at his residence. Born in Columbus County, he was the son of the late Willie Lester Shaw and Mary Pierce Shaw. Willie was a “work-aholic” and founded Shaw’s Refrigeration in 1971.
A service to celebrate Willie’s life will be held Friday at 6:00pm at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home with Pastor Jeff Dail and Pastor Pete Radford officiating. Family members will greet friends Friday evening immediately following the service at the funeral home. A graveside service will be held Saturday at 11:00 am at Wayne Memorial Park.
Willie is survived by his wife, Ann Shaw; sons, Marty (Missy) Shaw and Perry (Paula) Shaw; a brother, Morris Shaw; a sister, Margaret Osborne; five grandchildren, Kala Shaw, Drake Shaw, Ryan Parker, AnaGriffin Shaw and Adler Shaw; two step grandchildren, Bailie Tew and Lanie Tew.
