Phillip Ray Gambill, 48, passed away on Thursday at his home.
Phillip was born in Wayne County on April 16, 1971 and was the son of Richard and Sheila Gambill. He was a valued employee of the Irish Inns in Goldsboro. Phillip always enjoyed the outdoors and the opportunity to go hunting.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 17, 2019 from 6:00 – 8:00p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, November 18, 2019 at Wayne Memorial Park with Rev. Andy Stovall officiating.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife of 15 years, Amy Lynn Smith Gambill; son, Seth Gambill; father, Kenneth Valentine; aunts, Brenda Griffin and Brenda Baker; and mother-in-law and father-in-law, Susan and Billy Anderson. He is also survived by his brother, Billy Gambill; sisters, Misty and Mandy Valentine; and his k-9 friend and buddy, Brownie.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in his memory to the ministry of the Ronald McDonald House.
