Currie Alton Brock, 29, resident of the Mount Olive area, tragically lost his life in an accident early Sunday morning, October 13, 2019.

Currie is being remembered as a fun-loving guy, one who didn’t mind working, loved his nephews, and just children in general. He enjoyed playing the banjo along with his dad, sitting on the porch watching hummingbirds with Jennifer, and just chilling with friends.

He is survived by his father, Craig Brock and special friend, Jennifer Moore, of Mount Olive; his mother, Chris Howells and special friend, Corey White, of Greenville; grandparents, Curt and Janice S. Brock of Mount Olive, Janette and Larry Wagner of Mount Olive, and Ernest and Nina Howells of Kentucky; a sister whom he lovingly called “Sissy,” Kristen Hamm and husband, Ben, of Mount Olive; a cousin whom he thought of as a brother, Shane Brock of Calypso; two nephews, Grayson and Connor Hamm; and two step-brothers, Colden and Dallas Bradshaw.

Family and friends will be received at the home of his father, Craig Brock, Rones Chapel Road (across from old Arnold Lee Jackson Store), Mount Olive on Thursday, Oct. 17, from 6 until 8 p.m. The family will hold a private service of remembrance.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be directed to Oak Wolfe Fire Dept., c/o John Daniel Ivey, 338 Ivey Road, Mount Olive, NC 28365.
