Clara Margaret Daniels Johnson, 96, passed away on Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at her home.
Clara was born in Wayne County on October 22, 1922 to the late Charlie and Minnie Parks Daniels. She was married for 58 years to the late Orby Johnson. Clara was a member of Hood Swamp Friends Church.
Clara was a true Christian lady who loved God and lived each day showing those around her what faith in action is all about. She was caring, giving, loving, and yes — feisty! Clara will be missed by all who were blessed enough to know her.
A graveside service celebrating Clara’s life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, September 20, 2019 at Wayne Memorial Park. The family will greet friends immediately following the service at the cemetery and other times at her home, 222 W. Hill Street, Goldsboro.
Clara is survived by her sons, Charles Johnson and wife Betty of Goldsboro and Tony L. Johnson and wife Brenda of Kinston; grandchildren, Dusty Johnson (Michelle) of Goldsboro and Andy Johnson of Goldsboro; great-grandchildren, Courtney Mozingo (Matthew) and Trevor Johnson; great-great-grandson, Mason Mozingo; step-grandchildren, Julie Gautier (Tony) and Kristen Thomas; step-great-grandchildren, Sadie and Scarlett Gautier; and sister, Ola B. Coombs of Townville, SC.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be given to Hood Swamp Friends Church.
