July 29, 82,

Molly Ann Price Hood, 82, passed away suddenly Monday morning.

Molly was born in Wayne County on June 26, 1937 to the late George and Leola Stevens Price. She was married for 59 years to the late Floyd Hood. Molly was a graduate of the Class of 1955 at Grantham High School. She retired as a branch manager with Southern Bank and Trust after 30 years of service. Molly was a life-time member of Falling Creek Baptist Church where she began singing in the choir at the age of 16 and was a member of the Homemakers Sunday School Class. Most recently, Molly became a member of the Grantham Grange.

Molly will be remembered for her unconditional love as a wife and mother, and a friend to all. So too will she be remembered for her compassionate spirit and soul, and her gift of finding joy in doing random acts of kindness for others. Family was paramount to Molly, and she loved nothing more than her husband, her children, and grandchildren. She was the embodiment of love as we have been taught by our Savior and as she read daily in her Bible.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 1, 2019 from 4:30 – 6:00 p.m. in the fellowship hall of Falling Creek Baptist Church followed by a service to celebrate Molly’s life at 6:00 p.m. in the sanctuary. Interment will be in the church cemetery following the service.

Molly is survived by her daughters, Angela Hood of Grantham and Kim Kennedy and husband Jeff of Grantham; son, Jeffery Floyd Hood and wife Jill of Grantham; grandchildren, Ramey Barbour, Miranda Jones and husband John, Layla Steele, DJ Hood, Mollianne Kennedy, and Claire Kennedy; and great-grandchildren, Emily, Lucas and Jacob Davis, Waylon and Tony Barbour, and Isaiah and Phoenix Jones. She is also survived by her sister, Janet Williamson; a special cousin that she loved as a sister, Betty Best; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins she loved very much.

In addition to her husband and parents, Molly was preceded in death by her brother, Tommy Price.

Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to Falling Creek Baptist Church, 498 Falling Creek Church Road, Goldsboro, NC 27530.

Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.seymourfuneralhome.com.
