Hubert Crist Wiegand, age 53, died Wednesday at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville, NC. Born in Wayne County, he was the son of the late Hubert C. Wiegand, Jr., and Helen Barwick Wiegand. He was preceded in death by his twin brother, Charles Tony Wiegand and his sister, Sharon Wiegand. Crist was a faithful member of the Dudley Volunteer Fire Department for over 25 years and attended The First Pentecostal Holiness Church.
A graveside service with fire department honors will be held Monday at 11:00 am at Wayne Memorial Park with Pastor Bill Rose officiating.
Crist is survived by numerous cousins, friends and his Dudley Fire Department family.
