May 2, 87,

On Thursday evening, May 2, 2019, Louise Watkins Edwards, 87, moved to her Heavenly home. Louise was a godly woman who loved the Lord and her family and set an example for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren that will lead them all their lives.

Louise was born in Wilson County on May 9, 1931 to the late Elder Thomas Watkins and Madie Williams Watkins. She was married for 42 years to the late Amos L. Edwards. Louise worked in the family business, Edwards Truck Service, until the death of her husband. She loved Coker Memorial Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church and was a dedicated and faithful servant her entire life. Louise was the kindest and most loving mother and grandmother and a great friend to everyone. She will be missed by all who were blessed enough to know her.

A service to celebrate Louise’s life will be held on Sunday, May 5, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in the sanctuary of Coker Memorial P.F.W.B. Church with Rev. Michael Sauls, Rev. Dennis Pollock and Rev. Bill Rose officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park in Wilson. The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 4, 2019 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at the home of her daughter in MarMac.

Louise is survived by her children, Alton Wayne Edwards, Preston Allen Edwards and wife Patsy, Dennis Ray Edwards and wife Robin, Gloria Dianne Edwards Brock, Danny Keith Edwards and wife Shana, and Donald Glenn Edwards and wife Patricia; eight grandchildren, Mike Edwards (Tracy), Lynn Owens (Mark), Thomas Edwards (Gina), Chris Brock, Amy Hooker (Jerimee), Jonathan Edwards (Hannah), Darian Nash (Rich) and Jacob Edwards; step-grandchildren, Emily, Lea, and Alanina Williams (Shane); ten great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and several nieces and nephews she loved very much.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Viola Edwards; son-in-law, Bobby A. Brock Jr.; sister, Hazel Daniels and brother, Dempsy Watkins.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be given to Coker Memorial P.F.W.B. Church, 2643 N. Beston Road, LaGrange, NC 28551 or to the charity of one’s choice.

Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.seymourfuneralhome.com.
