Mr. Dallas Jean Sasser, 91, Faison resident, died Monday evening, Feb. 18, 2019 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.The family will receive friends at Tyndall Funeral Home, Mount Olive, from 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday, No other services are planned.
Mr. Sasser had retired from Cates Pickle Co. where he had been traffic manager. He was a member of Falling Creek Methodist Church at Grantham, and was a member of Mount Olive Masonic Lodge No. 208 A.F. & A.M. He was a motorcycle enthusiast, enjoyed street rods, and was proud of being in possession of a 1930 Model A Ford. In his retirement years, he was employed with Charles and Ryan Turner at Turner Auto Parts in Faison.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia C. Sasser; sons, Jeff Sasser of Garner’s Chapel area, Mount Olive,and Kevin Raybon of Kenansville; daughter, Kim Orrell of Wilmington; grandchildren, Lee Sasser of Greenville, Kayla Orrell and Lexie Orrell, both of Wilmington; two nieces, Penny Williams and Pam Bates.
Those preceding him in death include his parents, Dallas Jennings Sasser and Diana Grantham Sasser; and two sisters, Eva Pender and Cecil Messer.
In lieu of flowers, it is requested that any remembrances of Mr. Jean take the form of memorial gifts to Kitty Askins Hospice, 107 Handley Park Court, Goldsboro, NC 27534.
