Earl Michael Glover, 82, passed away Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at Wayne UNC Healthcare surrounded by his family.
Michael was born in Polk County on March 13, 1934 to the late Walton Kitchen Glover and Ina Isabel Durham Glover. He was married to the late Carolyn JoAnne Travis Glover. Michael enjoyed the opportunities given to him by helping to impact the lives of so many students at Goldsboro High School as a teacher and coach. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. Michael was a member of Love Memorial Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 – 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, August 21, 2016 at Seymour Funeral Home followed by a graveside service at 3:00 p.m. in Wayne Memorial Park with Rev. Richard Toler officiating.
Michael is survived by his sons, Keith Glover of Winterville and Jeff Glover and wife Marilyn of Goldsboro; grandchildren, Camber Shuman, Lissa Glover, Michael Edwards and Dakota Glover.
Michael’s family would like to acknowledge the I.C.U. staff of Wayne UNC Healthcare, particularly Carol and Jennifer, as well as his physicians, Dr. Dalton Dove and Dr. Philip Mayo who had a profound impact on the quality of Michael’s life. Together they demonstrated what constitutes excellent medical care.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be given to the Shriner’s Hospital for Children, 403 E. Front Street, New Bern, NC 28560.
