George Vandora Strickland, 59 of Goldsboro, died Sunday morning at his home.
Born in Wayne Co., he was the son of the late George William and Helen Hobbs Strickland.
Memorial services will be held Tuesday at 7:00 pm from the chapel of Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home. The family will visit with family and friends immediately following the service and at other times they will at the home of his daughter, 114 Nugget Drive, Dudley.
George is survived by his wife, Rebecca P. Strickland; three sons, Robert Strickland, Ryan Strickland and Tyler Strickland; his daughter, Renea Herring; two sisters, Patsy Gregson and Annette Hales; grandchildren, Anthony, Nathan, Shane, Grayson and Spencer.
