Judy Lane Davis

On Friday evening, June 29, 2018, Judy Lane Davis, 71, of Goldsboro, moved to her Heavenly home. Judy was a godly woman who loved the Lord and her family.

Judy was born in Wayne County on October 15, 1946 to the late John Wesley Snipes and Sudie Jane Myers Snipes. She was a member of The First Pentecostal Holiness Church. Throughout her life, Judy lived her life with resiliency and a love for life. She faced her obstacles with grace and dignity and with an abiding faith in Jesus Christ. She could light up a room with her joyous personality and radiant smile. Judy was an amazing mother and grandmother to her girls and grandsons. She will be remembered by many for the love she would share with the children she would teach while working with the Sunrise Learning Center and Walnut Street School. Judy would also help anyone in need with a hot meal.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 3, 2018 from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at Seymour Funeral Home followed by a graveside service at 11:30 a.m. in the Pikeville Cemetery with Rev. Bill Rose officiating.

Judy is survived by her daughters, Tracy Bissette and Darlene Britt and husband Tony; grandsons, Brandon Robbins and wife Nicolle, Jacob Robbins and Hunter Britt. She is also survived by her niece, Deborah Sue West; nephew, Charles Albert Combs, Jr. and great-nephew, Michael Jacob West.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Tim Bissette; sister, Patricia Carol Snipes Combs and brother, Floyd Myers.
