Billie Jean Walker Pruett, 84, passed away Monday, June 25, 2018 at her home.
Billie Jean was born in Ashe County to Hege Vernon and Margaret Parsons Walker. She was a member of Madison Avenue Baptist Church. Billie Jean graduated from Fleetwood High School in Ashe County and Draughon College in Winston-Salem.
A service to celebrate her life will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Randy Outland officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. Interment will follow at Wayne Memorial Park.
She was married for 59 years to William Kelly Pruett, and is survived by their beloved family: daughter, Margaret Malinda Hardy and husband Phil; son, Bill Pruett, Jr. and fiancée, Lia; grandson, Phillip Hardy, Jr. and wife Karsan; granddaughter, Emily Barbour and husband Justin and their daughter Ellie Walker Barbour who is due in November. She is also survived by her sister, Elizabeth Walker Barnette and husband Kenneth.
