June 14, 70, Pikeville 
Johnny Weaver, 70, passed away Thursday, June 14, 2018 at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville surrounded by his family.
Johnny was born in Wayne County, NC on September 3, 1947 to the late John William Weaver and Maybelle Rowe Weaver. He served his country in the United States Army. Johnny was former mayor and town commissioner of Pikeville. He enjoyed coaching baseball at Pikeville for many years. Johnny coordinated the Pikeville Christmas Parade along with the Pikeville-Pleasant Grove Fire Dept. He was a proud member American Legion Post # 541 and loved car shows and drag racing. Johnny will be greatly missed by family and friends.
The family will receive friends Monday, June 18, 2018 from 12:30 – 2:00 PM at Seymour Funeral Home followed by a service of remembrance at 2:00 PM in the chapel. Rev. Dr. Don Sauls and Rev. Andy Stovall will officiate. Interment will follow in Pikeville Cemetery.
Johnny is survived by his wife, Linda Gay Weaver; son, Jeffrey Chad Weaver and wife Sherri; the lights of his life, his grandchildren, Emmabelle Weaver, Ainsley Weaver and Olivia Weaver; sisters, Bobby Jean Hinson and husband John, Jo Ann Hinson Hartley, Kay Jones and husband Timothy.
