James “Jim” Stuart Robertson age 54, died Tuesday Morning at Kitty Askins Hospice Center. Born in Bloomington, Illinois he was the son of Duncan E. and Margaret S. Robertson of Rock Falls, Ill. and was the husband of Tammy Robertson of Pikeville.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday August 1, 2016 from 4-7p.m. at the home located at 108 Marlin Ln. Pikeville, N.C
For a number of years Jim worked in the service industry before discovering his true calling as a leader in manufacturing.
Jim’s ambition and skills afforded him the opportunity to relocate to N.C. where he was truly appreciated as a plant manager at Anchor Coupling Inc. of Goldsboro. Most recently Jim was employed as a quality assurance specialist of AAR Corp, of Goldsboro.
Jim was an avid Chicago Bears fan and lover of all animals! His competitive nature and intelligence led to many successes throughout his entire life. An incomplete crossword puzzle simply would not suffice. Very rarely was Jim outwitted when it came to word and board games.
In addition to his wife and parents Jim is survived by a daughter; Jamie Temple and husband Rob of Davenport, Iowa, a step-daughter; Angie Potts and husband John of Raleigh, a brother; Peter Robertson and wife Jennifer of Durand Ill., two sisters; Heather Robertson of Pittsfield, Ill., Sharon Burtlow and husband Dave of Rock Falls, Ill., and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother Iain Robertson.
The family request that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be directed to Kitty Askins Hospice Center 107 Handley Park Court, Goldsboro, N.C. 27534
