Hubert Andrew Medlin, 67, passed away on Thursday, June 23, 2016 in Florida.
Hubert was born and raised in Fremont and was the son of Ruby Josephine Medlin of Fremont and the late Grover Medlin. He was retired from St. Lucie Road and Bridge Department in Florida.
A service celebrating Hubert’s life will be held on Friday, July 22, 2016 at 6:30 p.m. in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home with Mike Barnes officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
In addition to his mother, Hubert is survived by his wife, Connie Medlin; children, Hubert Andrew Medlin, Jr. and wife Tawnya, Randy Lee Medlin, Brandy Michelle Medlin and fiancée Skip, Jennifer Kay Syler and husband Dave, and Amanda Rae Medlin and fiancée Scott; grandchildren, Garrett, Paige, Bradlee, Rylee, Weslee, Liam, Emma, Eli, Colby and Caleb; brothers, Milford Gilbert Medlin and wife Billie, Grover Charles Medlin and wife Paulette; sisters, Patsy Howard and husband Larry, Betsy White and husband Wayne; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his sister, Susie.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be given to Mount Carmel United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 10, Pikeville, NC 27863.
