Frances Robinson Howell

Frances Robinson Howell, 91, passed away peacefully on Monday evening, September 18, 2017 at Brookdale Senior Living.

Frances was born in Miami, Florida on October 28, 1925 to the late Jefferson and Sara Compton Robinson. She was married for 62 years to the love of her life, the late O.J. Howell, Jr. who preceded her in death on September 17, 2007. Frances enjoyed the opportunities given to her by helping to impact the lives of so many students as a school teacher with Wayne County Public Schools for many years.

Her life was filled with humility, kindness, and a love for others that she displayed every time she smiled. Frances dedicated her life to serving her family unselfishly and to serving her Lord. She was a member of Salem United Methodist Church. She was always willing to give an encouraging word or helping hand. Frances enjoyed life, especially her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 23, 2017 from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at Seymour Funeral Home followed by a service to celebrate Frances’ life at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel with Rev. Phyllis Vail officiating. Interment will be in Wayne Memorial Park.

Frances is survived by her son, Christopher Robinson Howell and wife Paula; daughter-in-law, Mary Ann Howell; four grandsons, Christian Jarman Howell, Eric Christopher Howell and wife Stephanie, Justin Jarman Howell and wife Sarah, and Trace Robinson Howell; one granddaughter, Lauren Marie Moity and husband Sebastien; and great- grandchildren, Christian Jarman Howell II, Cameron Scott Howell, Jackson Oscar Howell, Frances Ryann Howell, Hayden Jarman Howell, Paisley Ann Howell, Sebastien Stone Moity, and Scarlett Ann Moity; and many wonderful nieces, nephews, and friends.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Timothy Jarman Howell.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to a charity of one’s choice.
