William “Bill” Walter Rowe

William “Bill” Walter Rowe, age 80, died Tuesday evening at The Eastern North Carolina Veterans Home in Kinston, N.C. Born in San Pedro, California he was the son of the late Walter and Vena Thomas Rowe and was the husband of Peggy Rowe of Goldsboro.
A Memorial service to celebrate his life will be held on Saturday at 2:00 pm at Brogden United Methodist Church with Rev. David Moehring officiating. Family members will greet friends after the service at the church.

Bill was a veteran of the United States Navy and the United States Army. He had also been a member of the Waynesboro Model Railroad Club.

In addition to his wife, Bill is survived by two sons; David Rowe of Hampton, Va. and Richard Rowe and wife NiNing of Singapore; a step-son Michael Bethel of Lake City, Fla., three step-daughters; Carla Bethel of Newport News, Va., Frances Forshey of Goldsboro and Elizabeth Marshall and spouse Brooke of North, Va., six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren.
