Jerry Glenn Dew, age 76, died Tuesday at his residence. Born in Robeson County, he was the son of the late John Preston Dew and Bessie Powers Dew. Jerry was a Veteran of the US Air Force and had worked for NCR and also taught flying lessons.
A service to celebrate his life will be held Thursday at 2:00 pm at the Wayne Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel with Pastor Steven Wicks officiating. The family will greet friends immediately following the service.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Barbara Anderson Dew; two step daughters, Linda Davenport and Annette Traylor; two sisters, Linda Dempsey and Betty Neff; and three step grandchildren, Tommy, Miranda and Tyler Traylor.
