Mrs. Betty Jean Middleton, 64, passed on Thursday, June 29, 2017 at UNC Rex Healthcare, Raleigh, NC. The celebration of her life will be held on Monday, July 3, 2017 at Elm Grove Church Ministries, 118 Booker Street, Pikeville, NC at 12:00pm with Dr. Dorothy Heath officiating. She will be laid to rest at Wayne Memorial Park, 2925 US Hwy 117 South, Dudley, NC. There will be a viewing held on Sunday, July 2, 2017 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm with the family present from 6:00pm to 7:00pm at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home & Cremations, Goldsboro, NC.
She was born in Wilson, NC to Sam Evans and Mary Reid Evans. She is survived by her husband, Connie Corinthians Middleton Jr.; three children: Fatima (Lamont) Walden, Devaris Middleton and Dexter Middleton; ten grandchildren, three sisters, two brothers.
She was a graduate of the Charles B. Aycock High School Class of 1971.
