Brenda T. Barwick, 63, of Kinston, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday April 15th after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Brenda Mae was born November 11, 1953 and was a ray of sunshine to everyone who met her. To know her was to love her! She married the love of her life, Wayne Barwick, October 25, 2002. She was employed at First Citizens Bank in Kinston as a floating teller for 20 years. During her tenure with First Citizens, she received numerous awards for being a “Steller Teller.” In her spare time, she enjoyed traveling to the mountains, crafts, interior decorating and spending time with her family – especially her precious grandbabies.
She is survived by her husband, Wayne Barwick; five children, Christi Turner Miller and husband Kenny, Beau Jason Turner and wife Marsha, Kala Nicole Turner, Chad Barwick and wife Nicole, and Josh Barwick and wife Candice. Brenda is also survived by many grandchildren, which she adored, Hayden Alexander Turner, Mya Mackinsey Turner, Abbie Mae Willoughby, Macy Rayne Turner, Braelyn Carol Barwick, Tinsley Renee Barwick, Ella Leigh Watson, Michael Gibson Watson, Maddox Grey Barwick, and soon to be Atlas Drew Turner. And two little girls that she loved dearly, Kaitlyn and Kora Watson.
Brenda is also survived by her mother, Elsie Waller Daniels; brother, Richard Jr. Daniels and wife Beverly, special sister, Karen Eubanks and many nieces and nephews that loved her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her son, Joshua Duff Turner; her father, Richard “Dick” Daniels, Sr., and her brother, Ricky Charles Daniels.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. at Southwood Memorial Christian Church with Pastor Andrew Shue and Pastor Justin Barnett officiating. A time of visitation with the family will follow the service.
