Annie Jones Hinson, 88, of Kinston, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, April 11, 2017. Annie was born June 8, 1928 to the late Johnnie Jones and Mary Shivar Jones. Her husband, Leonard Hinson, preceded her in death. Life for Annie revolved around her family and taking care of their needs. She loved caring for her grandchildren. Annie’s family has fond memories of her wonderful cooking. Her sweets were second to no one.
A graveside service to celebrate Annie’s life will be held Thursday, April 13, 2017 at 11 a.m. from Pineview Cemetery with Rev. Brad Mitchell officiating.
Annie is survived by four children, Leonard Hinson and his wife, Debbie, Lana Hinson, Sandra Carson and Danny Hinson; six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Annie was preceded in death by five siblings, Fannie Rouse, Carrie Puckett, Johnnie M. Jones, James Edward “Skeety” Jones and Ben Jones.
Family and friends will be received Thursday following the graveside service.
