Margaret Basden Pate, 73, passed away Saturday, March 11, 2017 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center surrounded by her family.
Margaret was born in Duplin County, NC on March 17, 1943 to the late Frank Basden and Dollie Whaley Basden. She was married to the late Coor D. Pate. Margaret was retired from R. G. Barry. She will be greatly missed by her family.
A service to celebrate Margaret’s life will be Thursday, March 16, 2017 at 7:00 PM in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home. The family will receive friends following the service. Interment will be Friday at 11:00 AM at Wayne Memorial Park.
Margaret is survived by her son, Corbett Pate and wife Deena of Goldsboro; grandchildren, Christina McKamey and husband Josiah, Samantha Pate and Jordan Pate and wife Ashley and her great-grandchildren, Ainlsey McKamey, Gannon McKamey, Waylon Pate and Khloee Tapley. She was also survived by brother, John Basden and a special sister-in-law, Arwilda Pate.
In addition to her husband and parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her daughter, Deborah Pate.
