March 10, 68,
Pat Carlton Lancaster, 68, passed away on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill.
Pat was born in Wayne County on January 9, 1949 to the late Carl Eugene Lancaster and Dollie Person Lancaster. He had retired from his work with the Goldsboro Housing Authority. Pat loved life, adventure, Harley-Davidson motorcycles, working on cars, as well as playing and building guitars. Those of us who knew Pat weep at our loss, laugh with our remembrances, and reflect deeply on how much he meant to us.
A service celebrating Pat’s life will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at his favorite place, his shop, at his home in Pikeville.
Pat is survived by his daughter, Katrina Leigh Kornegay and husband Tommy; grandchildren, Kristin, Gauge, and Tank; his girlfriend, Sandi Jackson; his K-9 son, Ky; and his sisters-in-law, Brenda Lancaster and Linda Lancaster. He is also survived by a special nephew, Eric Lancaster and his wife Jennifer and their children, as well as his other nieces and nephews, Ingrid, Warren, Donna, Cheryl, Sherwood, Renee, and Richard. Pat had many riding friends at Stoney Creek Country Club that he loved spending time with.
The family would like to express their appreciation for the compassionate care provided by the doctors and nurses at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill. Simple words cannot express our gratitude.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be given to the American Heart Association, 3219 Landmark Street, Greenville, NC 27834.
