Elizabeth Susan Holt Massengill, 92, passed away on Tuesday evening, January 31, 2017 at State Employees Credit Union Hospice House in Smithfield. She was born December 6, 1924 to the late Edgar Alexander Holt I and Cornelia Sanders Holt. She is preceded in death by her husband, William Robert Massengill. Funeral services will take place at Princeton United Methodist Church on Friday evening, February 3, 2017 at 7:00 pm with the Reverend David Hutchenson and Reverend Don Dewberry officiating. The burial will take place at 11:00 am on Saturday, February 4, 2017 in Princeton Cemetery.
She is survived by daughters, Sandy Massengill Mitchell of Smithfield and Ann Massengill Honrine and son-in-law, Howard of Goldsboro; and a grandson, Jonathan Mitchell.
The family will receive friends from 5:30 pm until 7:00 pm at Casey Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, February 3, 2017.
