Margie Jeannette Hinnant, 84, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at Willow Creek Nursing Home.
Margie was born in Wayne County on July 21, 1932 to the late John D. Jeannette and Elsie Mozingo Jeannette. She was a longtime member of New Hope Friends Church. She was devoted to her church and was involved in many activities where she utilized her gifts and abilities to share the love of God. Margie retired from Southern Bell Telephone Company and later went to work with Wayne Health Urological Associates in Goldsboro. Above all, she loved spending time with her family and friends. She will be missed.
A service celebrating Margie’s life will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 2, 2017 at New Hope Friends Church with Bill Garner and Jonathon Hoefer officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday immediately following the service in the family life center. Interment will be on Friday at 2:00 p.m. in New Hope Friends Cemetery.
Margie is survived by her husband of almost 66 years, Ralph Edwin Hinnant; children, Mincie Blount and husband Mark, Lisa Watson and husband Larry, and Deahdra Bradshaw and husband Tommy, all of Goldsboro; grandchildren, Matthew Carawan (Brittaney), Jeannette Massingale (Enoch), Michael Watson (Jessica), Ashley Watson (Anthony Haats), Christie Bradshaw, and Brittney Harrell (Kyle); and great-grandchildren, Rowen Carawan, Teagan Massingale, and Allie Bradshaw.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Gladys Spencer, Dewey Jeannette, Johnny Jeannette, and Grace Smith.
