Aline York Woodard

Aline York Woodard, 97, passed away Saturday. A native of Wayne County, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Herbert and Alma Formy Duval York and was the widow of John Edward Woodard.

Mrs. Woodard was a homemaker and a member of Salem United Methodist Church.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 1, 2017 from 12:30 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home followed by a service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Woodard at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home with the Jane Gale Woodard presiding.  A private interment will be at Wayne Memorial Park.

Surviving are daughters, Jeanine W. Parrott  and husband Joseph of Indian Land, SC, Gay Cerny and husband Pete of Goldsboro; son, Richard Woodard and wife Jane Gale of Goldsboro; sister, Joyce Casey of Dudley; thirteen grandchildren; twenty seven great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her brothers, Earl York, Thomas Herbert York and Glenn York; sisters, Helen Ellis Potter, Josephine Denmark.

Although flowers are welcome, memorials may be made to Salem United Methodist Church, 2706 Salem Church Road, Goldsboro, NC 27530, or The Lords Table, P.O. Box 11049, Goldsboro, NC 27530 to benefit the Haiti Ministry.
