January 17, 90, Goldsboro

On Tuesday morning, January 17, 2017, Nancy Creola Earp Parrish, 90, of Goldsboro, moved to her Heavenly home.  Creola was a godly woman who loved the Lord and her family and set an example for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren that will lead them all their lives.

Creola, the last of eight children, was born in Johnston County on June 24, 1926 to the late Fred and Della Woodard Earp.  She was married to the late John R. Parrish.  Creola was chosen as the valedictorian of her graduating class at Pine Level High School.  She loved Bizzell Grove Pentecostal Holiness Church and was a dedicated and faithful servant her entire life.  Her most significant role in life and what she did best was being a loving mother, grandmother, and friend to her family.

A service celebrating Creola’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 19, 2017 at Bizzell Grove P.H. Church with Rev. Philip Bland officiating.  Interment will follow in Bizzell Grove Memorial Gardens.

Creola is survived by her daughters, Brenda Holloman and husband Kenneth, and Teresa Smith and husband Ralph; sons, Danny Parrish and wife Virginia, Teddy Parrish and wife Holly, and Freddie Parrish and wife Ruth; 18 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to Bizzell Grove P.H. Church, 4700 Bizzell Grove Church Road, Princeton, NC 27569.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at her home.
