John Malcolm Forsythe

John Malcolm Forsythe, 76, passed away on Thursday, January 12, 2017 at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

John was born in Wayne County on June 30, 1940 to the late Samuel Henry Forsythe and Lucy Bailey Forsythe.  He owned and operated a heating and air conditioning business in Goldsboro.  John was a member of Daniels Memorial United Methodist Church and the Gideons.  He was also a member of the Goldsboro Elks Lodge 139 B.P.O.E. and the Refrigeration Service Engineers Society.  John will always be remembered as a loyal man of faith, and for his love and respect for everyone who touched his life.

A service celebrating John’s life will be held on Monday, January 16, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home with Rev. Colby Leonard and Rev. Bill Rose officiating.  Interment will be on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. in Wayne Memorial Park.

John is survived by his wife, Anne Few Forsythe; sister, Harriet Andrews of Stanton, VA; and several special nieces, nephews and cousins.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Betty Jane Williams; and brothers-in-law, Albert Williams and Robert Andrews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in John’s memory to Daniels Memorial United Methodist Church, 2802 E. Ash Street, Goldsboro, NC 27534 or to Gideons International, Goldsboro South Camp, P.O. Box 509, Goldsboro, NC 27530 or to The First Pentecostal Holiness Church, 1100 The First Church Road, Goldsboro, NC 27534.
