Pauline “Skinner” Capps Bryan, age 95, died Monday at her residence. Born in Wayne County, she was the daughter of the late William Paul Capps and Elizabeth Britt Capps, wife of the late Buddy Bryan and mother of the late John Paul Bryan. She was a member of Jordan’s Chapel Church.
A service to celebrate her life will be held Wednesday evening at 7:00 pm at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home with Rev. Patrick Muston officiating. Family members will greet friends immediately following the service at the funeral home. A graveside service will be held Thursday morning at 11:00 am at the Jordan’s Chapel Church Cemetery.
She is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Bethea; a son, Elton “Wirehead” Bryan; four grandchildren, Doug and John Bethea, Mitzi and Peanut Bryan; and nine great grandchildren.
