Pearl Lois Bradshaw Langston

Pearl Lois Bradshaw Langston, 80, died Saturday morning at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.

Pearl was born on September 26, 1936 in Wayne County to the late Roscoe and Lela Newell Bradshaw.  She was married to the late Sim Langston.   Pearl retired from O’Berry Center and had previously worked at J.P. Stevens Hosiery Factory.
Pearl was the rock of her family; her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren knew that she loved them with all her heart and truly was a blessing to them.  She was a generous and gracious woman.  Pearl will be remembered for the love she shared and how she reached out to others whenever called upon.  She enjoyed collecting salt and pepper shakers as well as decorating her yard at Christmas.  Above all, she loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her precious grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She will be missed by all who were blessed enough to know her.

A service to celebrate Pearl’s life will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home with Pastor Dennis Pollock officiating.  Interment will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at the Langston Family Cemetery near the home.

Pearl is survived by her daughters, Judy L. Anderson and husband Keith Kornegay, Carolyn Rose Barnes and husband Kent, and Joyce Marie Sauls; grandchildren, Jeremy Anderson, Daniel Anderson and wife Cecelia, Garrett Barnes and wife Jessica, Jason Barnes and fiancée Brittany, Jennifer Rutledge and husband David, Jessie Smith and husband Russel, all of Goldsboro; and great-grandchildren, Kolby Dean Anderson, Walker Anderson, William Anderson, Lexie Barnes, Landon Barnes, Emerson Rutledge, Saylor Barnes, and was anticipating the birth of Russel “R.J.” Smith II.

She is also survived by her sisters, Barbara Walker and Carol B. Davis, both of Goldsboro; and brothers, Wayne Bradshaw and Jack Bradshaw of Wilmington, Ray Bradshaw of Carlsbad, NM and John Henry Bradshaw of Goldsboro.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Shirley L. Bradshaw and brothers, Jimmy Bradshaw and Roscoe P. Bradshaw.
