Dora Mae Smith Langston, 82, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday evening, November 28, 2016, surrounded by her family.
Dora Mae was born in Wayne County on October 30, 1934 to the late Polk and Lonnie Smith. She was married to the late Oliver Langston for 49 years. Dora Mae was retired from O’Berry Center and was a member of the Pentecostal Christian Assembly Church.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 1, 2016 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home. A service to celebrate Dora’s life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, December 2, 2016 in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home with Rev. Sherwood Howell and Rev. Jackie Hamm officiating. Interment will follow in Wayne Memorial Park. At other times the family will receive friends at her home.
Dora Mae is survived by her sons, Terry Lynn Langston of Pikeville and Winford E. Langston and wife Dianne of Goldsboro; grandchildren, Dana Best, Kelly Ezzell, Danny Langston Jr., Summer Langston, and Terry Langston Jr.; and great-grandchildren, Alston Best, Payton Best, Cohen Ezzell and Haley Ezzell. She is also survived by her sisters, Eloise LeClair and Margie Strickland.
In addition to her husband and parents, Dora Mae was preceded in death by a son, Danny Ray Langston and her brothers, L.P. Smith, Charles Smith and Joe Smith.
