Edward Harris Aken, 63, of Goldsboro passed away Tuesday at Wayne Memorial Hospital. He was the son of the late Burdette Aken and Hilda H. Aken Smack. Mr. Aken was a truck driver.
A funeral service will be held Friday at 2:00 P.M. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Providence United Methodist Church. The family will be receiving friends Thursday evening from 7:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home.
Mr. Aken is survived by his best friend, Colleen Bauer of Goldsboro; a sister, Charleen Aken Allen of Goldsboro; and a nephew, Brandon Aken of Goldsboro.
