Irene Wade Graham, 91, of Goldsboro passed away Sunday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center surrounded by her family. She is the daughter of the late Clarence Jacob and Betty Jones Wade, and is the wife of the late Dock Graham. Mrs. Graham was a retired nurse from Wayne Memorial Hospital with over 40 years of service.
A service of love and remembrance will be held on Thursday at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home with Rev. Frank Purvis officiating. Committal services will follow at Wayne Memorial Park. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.
Mrs. Graham is survived by her daughters, Carol Streng and husband, Gene of Lilburn, GA and Lu Jean Whitten and husband, Daniel of Fairfax, VA; sisters, Betty Jean Brindell and husband, John of Hickory, Nancy Ayer of Burgaw and Rose Cameron of Concord; a sister in law, Joann Wade of Ayden; grandchildren, Allison Franklin and husband, Will, Jacob Whitten and Ashley Duran, and Savannah Whitten; and great grandchildren, Andy Franklin, Lloyd Whitten, and one on the way.
