Mr. Dorsel Pete Bailey, 78, peacefully passed away Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at his home surrounded by his family.
Pete was a decorated U.S. Air Force veteran and retiree. He was born to the late Ray C. Bailey and Callie Bailey on July 20, 1941 in Charleston, WV a state he truly loved.
A graveside service will be held in a private setting for the family at the Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Goldsboro.
Pete is survived by his wife, Renate Bailey of Goldsboro; daughter, Sandra Dillon of Dayton, OH; son, Mike Bailey of Goldsboro; grandson, Avery Bailey of Goldsboro; granddaughter, Haley Dillon of Pittsburgh, PA; and niece Marti Ritz of Cross Lanes, WV.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Wayne County Animal Shelter, 1600 Clingman Street, Goldsboro, NC 27534.
