Mary Stuckey Grantham, 87, passed away on Monday, December 2, 2019 at Willow Creek Nursing and Rehabilitation Center surrounded by her family.
Mary was born in Wayne County on April 10, 1932 to the late Connie T. Stuckey and Vara Langdon Stuckey. She graduated from nursing school and after becoming a registered nurse she married her husband of over 40 years the late Herman R. Grantham. They both owned and operated Rudy’s Grill for many years in the Rosewood Community. Mary was a member of Rosewood Baptist Church where she used her gifts and abilities to share the love of God.
The family will receive friends Thursday, December 5, 2019 from 5:30 – 7:00 PM at Rosewood First Baptist Church with a service to celebrate Mary’s life at 7:00 PM in the sanctuary. Rev. Mike Collier and Rev. Vernon Braswell will officiate. Interment will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 6, 2019 at in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.
Mary is survived by her daughter, Coneva G. Watkins and husband Wayne; sons, Herman Craig Grantham and wife Tammy, Michael Allen Grantham and wife Donna and Tony Alan Grantham and wife Pamela; sixteen grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Brenda G. Owens.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in her memory to Rosewood First Baptist Church, 562 NC Hwy. 581 South, Goldsboro, NC 27530.
