Jean Strickland Bridgers, 84, passed away on Sunday, November 10, 2019 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center surrounded by her family.
Jean was born in Wayne County on August 1, 1935 to the late Jake and Bettie Stuckey Strickland. Along with her husband, Paul Delmus Bridgers, they owned and operated Cash Farm Supply in Goldsboro.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, November 13, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Morris Smith and Rev. Tony McLamb officiating. The family will greet friends on Tuesday, November 12, 2019 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at their home and on Wednesday following the service at the cemetery.
Her immediate survivors include her husband of 68 years, Paul Delmus Bridgers; children, Paul Bridgers, Jr. (Martha), Paula Bridgers Howell (Chris), Jenny Bridgers Lewis (John) and Myra Bridgers Moore (Todd), fourteen grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.

The family would like to extend special appreciation to Melissa Hart, Patricia Atkinson, Yvette Epps and Elizabeth Wallace who provided loving care for Jean in her home. You were not only loving caregivers but also her special friends.
